| Sydney Spradley UPDATE: She placed 9th at her 4th High School Rodeo of the Season. They ran a 16.570 at Saginaw. Congrats! Age: 16 Riding Time: 16 months Horse: Dude Hobbies/Favorite things to do: Sydney's Story: Sydney had ridden on and off her whole life, and spent lots of time at summer camp, but had never run the barrels and wanted to rodeo. She came to me last August (2006), and in October, I believe we found her a horse (Flash) to teach her what she needed to know. She came to lessons every week, went home and practiced what we'd worked on that week. In March of this year she was ready to step up to a higher caliber horse, so we purchased Dude, Trained by Kristin Stewart out of Alvord, TX. He is really broke and exceptionally nice. He's a 1D caliber horse and at first she was a bit intimidated by him, and a couple steps behind, but she's been diligent in her practice with him, and spent a lot of time aboard him this summer and in August we'll haul his legs off and hopefully come home with some money! She has worked really hard, continues to work hard, and I'm very proud of her.
